Efficient, reliable, sporty, earth-friendly
and full of value. Enough great things can’t
be said about the Honda Civic. With the Civic,
Honda gives you quality and an almost staggering
number of model choices and trims. The Civic
Coupe is hot, fresh and the youthful exuberance
it provides may serve as a replacement for
botox treatments. The Civic Sedan is smart,
reliable and economical. Everything you could
ever want in an accountant but it also comes
with luxury and an excellent safety rating.
The Civic Hybrid isn’t just for the
tree huggers, now curve huggers can get in
on the action. It’s a good thing that
the Civic Hybrid can go 650 miles on one fill-up
because the powertrain in this car makes it
irresistible to drive. Don’t make a
decision just yet; make way for the sporty
Civic SI. With this car you don’t cut
corners, you carve them.

Pros and Cons:
Pros: The Honda Civic lineup
has models that come with many great standard
features. These features include: Dual- Stage
Front Airbags, Immobilizer Theft-Deterrent
System and Cruise Control. The Civic lineup
has been a recipient of a litany of various
awards and accolades. Based on the information
provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety
Association all of the Civic models have received
a 5-star rating for Front Crash Safety and
a 4-star or above rating for Side Crash Safety
and Roll-over Resistance. J.D Power and Associates
gave the entire Civic lineup a 4-star rating
for Overall Quality, Mechanical Quality and
Feature and Accessory Quality. Kelley Blue
Book names Civic a “Top Value Retainer”.
More specifically, the Civic Coupe was named
one of “Top 10 Most Fuel Efficient cars
for 2004” by Edmunds.com as well as
IntellliChoice® Best Overall Value for
a Subcompact car and won a spot on Edmunds’
Most Wanted list for Coupes Under $15,000.
IntelliChoice® named the Civic Sedan the
Best Overall Value for a Compact under $17,000
and the Best Overall Value for a car under
$24,000. The Civic Hybrid was named one of
“Top 10 Most Fuel Efficient cars for
2004” by Edmunds.com as well as being
honored by AAA and Parents Magazine as a “Best
Car for Families” and being awarded
IntelliChoice® Best Overall Value for
a Compact car over $17,000.
Cons: The fuel economy for
the Civic SI is about average but not as good
as the other models. JD Power and Associates
gave the whole Civic lineup a 3-star rating
for Body and Interior Quality. This means
that the Honda Civic does not stand out from
other cars in this category.
Models, Performance and Options:
No one could ever say that Honda does not
offer the consumer options. The Honda Civic
lineup consists of 4 cars and those cars have
other trims and packages. So take a deep breath,
stretch you legs and prepare to feast your
eyes on the many variables that await you.
The options aren’t a detriment; in fact
the options are to insure that you are getting
a vehicle that best suits you.
Safety:
The Honda Civic is quite possibly the safest
car on the road today. With safety features
like Dual-stage Airbags and Anti-Lock Braking
System (ABS) there should be no mystery regarding
why the National Highway Traffic Safety Association
gave the whole Civic lineup no less than 4-star
ratings when it came to Front Crash, Side
Crash and Rollover Resistance safety. With
the Honda Civic safety comes standard.
