New Hampshire is a small state in Northern New England. It is known for being the location of the first primary in the presidential election, the New Hampshire Primary. New Hampshire probably has the most famous state motto in the nation, “Live free or die.” It is appropriately nicknamed the “Granite State” due to its numerous granite quarries. New Hampshire’s recreational attractions include, skiing, other winter sports, the Lakes Region, and the New Hampshire International Freeway (home of the longest running motorcycle race in the country).
