What does Edmunds.com Say?
“Roomy, stylish and practical, the
Montego is well suited for family duty,
but with its mediocre engine performance
and interior materials, it's simply one
of many solid choices in the under-$30,000
price bracket.”
The Pros and Cons from Edmunds.com
Pros
Spacious cabin, huge trunk, smooth ride
quality, available all-wheel drive, plenty
of safety features.
Cons
Mediocre engine performance, some low-grade
interior materials, no stability control.
Safety
All Montegos come with a full set of disc
brakes with ABS and Electronic Brakeforce
Distribution. Optional on all models are
side-impact airbags that protect front occupants'
torsos and side curtain airbags that protect
the heads of front and rear occupants. Traction
control is standard on all Montegos, but
stability control is not available. This
car has not yet been crash tested.
